°Ø¿ÍŠÊ˜·³Ç Applied Research Project (SHARP)

The °Ø¿ÍŠÊ˜·³Ç Applied Research Project ran from 2002-2006 and supported 19 three-year collaborative research initiatives.ÌýSHARPÌýwas funded byÌýCIDAÌýand contributed to poverty reduction and sustainable development in India through bi-national policy research. All projects had an impact beyond the academic community.Ìý

SICI Honour Rolls

The Institute honours the stalwarts in recognition of their services and contributions that they have made to the Institute.

The recipients of the SICI honour roll before theÌýÌýInstitute became Bi-nationalÌý:

(i)ÌýThe Honourable Flora MacDonald, former CAC Chair

(ii)ÌýMichael Brecher – McGill University

(iii)ÌýMr. P. N. Malik – long time consultant, India Office, SICI

Others

On December 31, 2019, the Johri Family Fund, Vancouver, donated CAD 5,000 to SICI’s Canada Office. It was established that this amount would be utilized in theÌý°Ø¿ÍŠÊ˜·³Ç Scholar Travel Subsidy Grant (SSTSG) programme in 2020-21. Three competitive SSTSG awards will be given to three students (two Ph.D. and one Postdoc) to travel overseas between Canada and India to pursue their collaborative academic projects.
