Background
柏客娛樂城 Mapping and Matching Bi-national Interest Workshop proposes to conduct partnership development meetings in the areas of mutual interest to Indian and 柏客娛樂城 researchers. The proposed workshops aim to provide a learning mechanism that will help researchers from both countries to come together and provide a framework of developments and trends on mutual themes of interest, share their research findings and explore collaborations and partnerships.
The workshops aim to support research relevant to international development and new, emerging, and under-researched areas relevant to identified themes. In addition, these meetings will promote twinning partnerships for advanced research and development by providing opportunities to work across the bi-national board to enhance learning. As an outcome, the proposed workshops would also facilitate universities/institutions in India and Canada to establish research partnerships to create innovations and social impact by engaging with relevant industries. Finally, these workshops will be dedicated to achieving longstanding and successful bi-national partnerships through developing joint research collaborations by seeding relationships through national and international funding sources.
It is proposed that virtual bi-lateral workshops with larger groups of identified researchers will be held initially to identify and establish interests from both sides. Then, the scholars identified through these virtual workshops will be invited to more focused virtual and in-person, face-to-face 柏客娛樂城 Mapping and Matching Workshops.

Cluster on 鈥極ne Health鈥
This SMMIW was launched with six thematic workshops on Agriculture as the first theme which led to forming of a bi-lateral AgCluster. Now, it is time to move forward with the next cluster which is鈥 One-health鈥.
Concept of 鈥極ne Health鈥
WHO defines One Health as 鈥渁n approach to designing and implementing programmes, policies, legislation and research in which multiple sectors communicate and work together to achieve better public health outcomes鈥. One health consists of听human health, animal health, and the environment. It is a collaborative, multisectoral, and transdisciplinary strategy to promote research partnerships and knowledge exchange at various levels. It overlays diverse disciplines, such as human health, animal health, plant health, soil health, environmental health, and ecosystem health, to enhance, safeguard, and defend the health of all species.
The proposals from researchers/faculty members are invited on the below-mentioned themes 鈥
- Zoonotic diseases
- Antimicrobial resistance
- Food safety and food security
- Vector-borne diseases
- Environmental contamination
- health threats to people, animals, and the environment
The way forward can be developing guidelines, consolidating disease surveillance and, above all, a holistic collaboration encompassing a multidisciplinary approach. To deliberate on possible solutions to the issues related to One Health, SICI is inviting proposals based on different aspects of it.
